Brentwood Country Mart

The Brentwood Country Mart, located just south of San Vincente in Brentwood, has all the shops and food you need for a day with friends.

The center is housed in a charming barn, and the rustic feel reminds shoppers to slow down and enjoy themselves. Most of your daily business can be done at Brentwood Country Mart. With a shoe repair shop, a barber shop, a post office, a food court, clothing stores, jewelry stores, a toy store, a stationary store and a book store, the Country Mart is a shopper’s paradise.

When you’re ready for lunch, wind your way to the Mart’s open air middle pavilion. Grab a burger at Barney’s Gourmet Hamburgers or score inexpensive (but quality) tacos and burritos at Frida Mexican Cuisine. Some shoppers prefer dining at Reddi Chick, which offers chicken, chicken tenders, chicken nuggets, mashed potatoes, ribs and fried clams.

Feed your sweet tooth with a luscious milkshake from Sweet Rose Ice Cream. The newest culinary addition at the Country Mart is the Farmshop, which provides delicious dining as well as a convenient market. When the Santa Monica weather turns chilly, diners take comfort in the heating options located on the food court patio.

Diesel, A Bookstore is the Mart’s independent book seller. With other locations at Malibu and Oakland, there are many author events and book signings happening throughout Los Angeles. The book store has a friendly and knowledgeable staff, as well as a signed book section that is perfect for a gift for your favorite bookworm.

Sugar Paper is the go-to store for wedding invitations, birth announcements, creative thank-you cards and personalized stationary. If you’re dying for a new pair of shades, stroll over to Selima et Benjamin Optique for a wide selection of new and vintage sunglasses. Pick up a funky necklace at Broken English Jewelry and find a gift for the friend that has everything at Marie Mason Apothecary.

Bring your own blanket, chairs, food and drink while enjoying movies like Annie, The Parent Trap, The Sandlot, Charlotte’s Web, E.T., Finding Nemo and Singin’ in the Rain.
